The Kennedy-Kassenbaum Bill, which became effective January 1, 1997, was the strongest endorsement yet for private Long Term Care insurance. Now that all states have approved Tax Qualified (TQ) rates & forms the timing has never been better to enter the group Long Term Care Insurance (LTC) Worksite Marketplace.
As stated in a recent study released by the Conference Board, "Elder care will soon top child care", and will become a greater problem in the future.
Another combination of factors including medical technology, better hygiene, and nutrition have increased the life span of people everywhere. These and other factors only reinforce the need for Long Term Care insurance.
Now that LTC Insurance is a "tax free employee benefit" with "no discrimination testing" there is a unique opportunity to make these plans available to business owners, business partners, corporate officers, directors, employees, spouses, and other dependents -- all at the complete discretion of the employer. Additionally, the benefits are paid on a tax free basis.
Qualified Groups may be eligible for premium discounts up to 15% annually with as few as three employees. Existing associations, unions, and professional organizations, may qualify with 10 or more members. Rating concessions may be considered when 25 or more group members apply together. Guaranteed Issue will be considered for groups of 100 or more eligible employees. The bottom line is that you should be offering Group LTC Insurance, whether your business clients and prospects pay for it or offer it as a voluntary plan -- before your competition does! E-mail us today with your questions and to obtain an "Application for Approval of Endorsed Group."
